Plan configuration
Two clocks: (1) Enrol window — when new customers may join.
(2) Member tenure — once enrolled, that customer stays on the plan for N months from their join date and keeps benefits even if the scheme later closes for new joins.
Free months: shop-funded installments — inclusive means customer pays fewer months inside the tenure; on top means they pay the full tenure and get bonus free month(s) after.
Scheme types: fixed ₹ locks the cash installment; fixed gold locks grams per month and the counter collects grams × 22ct rate on deposit date.
Cancel charge: scheme default when a member exits mid-tenure — fixed ₹ or % of cash deposited. Treated as forfeiture / compensation, not a taxable service. Counter can negotiate the amount on the enrolment.
Deposits always allocate virtual grams at the 22ct rate on deposit date. That allocation is a liability ledger, not a supply of gold.
GST: not charged on installments. Charged when the customer buys jewellery (or settles leftover on a sale).
Counter — Enrol anytime while the scheme is open for joins. Once enrolled, terms are locked — process deposits or cancel on separate screens. To change plan, cancel then enrol again.

This collection is an advance / deposit toward a later jewellery purchase — not a taxable supply. Virtual grams allocate from amount ÷ published 22ct rate for liability tracking only. GST 3% is billed when the customer selects an ornament and the sale is posted. Rate is display-only.

Charge defaults from the scheme (fixed ₹ or % of deposits) but is editable for negotiation. Remaining virtual grams are forfeited. Net refund = deposits − charge. The charge is genuine cancellation / forfeiture compensation — not GST, and there is no GST to reverse because installments were un-taxed advances.
Accounts — Open virtual gold still owed to scheme members. Cost is LIFO of deposits; mark-to-market uses today’s published 22ct rate. Cancelled enrolments drop off after remaining grams are forfeited. GST is billed only when jewellery is sold.
